Questions that we get asked a lot.
Q: How do you
inflate the bouncy castle when you have delivered it? Will I be able to
put it down?
A: Our bouncy castles are inflated using electric fan blowers. They are
simply plugged in to a suitable socket in your house or out building, we
supply long extension cables and power breakers with all castles so you
don't need a socket nearby. To deflate the castle, simply unplug the fan
and it will slowly collapse (make sure nobody is using the castle at the
time!).
Q: What happens if
its raining or particularly bad weather on the day of the booking?
A: If the weather is bad/raining then call us and we'll decide what to
do or we may call you to say whether we will deliver or not. If we do
deliver and it's not raining then a non refundable payment will be
required at the time of delivery.
Q: How much space do
I need for a bouncy castle?
A: The dimensions of our castles are shown in our gallery page, please
also allow an additional 5 feet both back and front and at least 2 feet
at the sides.
Q: What kind of access
do you need when you deliver the castle?
A: The castles are wheeled in to position using a cart, so we will need
a standard size path to get the castle in to your garden or venue. If
you have a lot of steps or a tight entrance way, please let us know so
that we can assess the access.
Q: Are you
fully insured, if a child gets injured who's to blame?
A: We carry 2 million pounds worth of public liability cover, however as
per our terms and conditions (click
here) we cannot be held liable for any
injuries caused whilst the castle is in your care. You are the sole
person responsible for the castle and it's use and therefore should
anything happen, you are liable to a claim as the hirer. Our Public
Liability covers US against set up faults or faulty equipment etc.
Q: Is it possible to
set the castle up on a slope?
A: Unfortunately we cant set up a castle on a slope, if you think there
might be a problem, please mention this when you book with us and we'll
try to assess the installation.
Q: How much
notice to I need to give to book a castle?
A: As much notice as possible. During busy times we book up well in
advance so let us know as soon as you have a date in mind, we will do
our best to accommodate you.
Q: Do you charge for
cancellation?
A: In most cases we don't charge a cancellation charge, so long as you
give us some notice so that we can hire the castle out to somebody else.
If you give us no or very little notice (other than for bad weather)
then you may be liable to a charge.
Q: When the
castle is delivered, do I have to set it up myself or do you do it?
A: The delivery person will completely set up the castle, give you a
demonstration on how to use it safely and then leave it in your control.
When we turn up to collect the castle, we will also dismantle it.
Q: How many
children/adults are allowed on the castle?
A: Each castle has different limits, our Gallery page (click
here) lists each castle and it's capacity.
Please note children's castles should never be used by heavier adults,
remember the hirer is responsible for any damage.
Q: Is there a
discount for midweek hire?
A: The quick answer is YES, but during school
holidays and certain other times, the castles will be full rate all week
and weekend. Give us a call and we'll be able to advise you.
Q: Is it ok to
put a bouncy castle on my lawn, will it cause much damage?
A: We actually prefer to put the bouncy castle on a lawned area. For
safety reasons we must hammer in 6 securing pegs to hold the castle down
during use. The castle will have a ground sheet placed under it so the
grass wont come to any harm. The holes left over from the securing pegs
will disappear after a few days. Please bring any underground wires or
pipes to the delivery mans attention before setting up the castle.
Q: Can you put
a bouncy castle on a concrete floor?
A: We prefer not to for safety reasons. if you have no alternative
surface then please tell us this during booking so that we can arrange
for sand bags to be in the vehicle when we deliver the castle. There may
be an additional charge for this service.
Q: How long do
I get the keep the bouncy castle?
A: We usually deliver the castles first thing in the morning and then
collect them later on that day. If you want it for more than one day
please mention this when you book, this will of course be reflected in
the price.
Q: Do I have to
pay a deposit to book a bouncy castle and at what point do I pay for the
full rental?
A: At busy times we may ask you for a deposit to secure your booking. We
ask for payment on delivery of the bouncy castle, this avoids us looking
around for somebody to pay when we collect the castle.
Q: Am I allowed to
hire this castle from you and then charge people to use the castle?
A: Yes you are, but you must bear in mind that you are in charge and
must make sure that people who use the castle are safe, don't overload
the castle to try to make extra money. As the hirer you are liable for
any damages.
